Default What Composer Would You Like A Listening Group For

What composer (of any period) would you like a listening group for?

For those who don't know, a listening group is a group that is formed on Brightcecilia to discuss, and listen together, to one particular composers body of works. At present we have two groups; one for Gustav Mahler and one for Franz Schubert. All members of Brightcecilia are welcome to join any of the listening groups.

So now I'll throw it open!!! What composer is YOUR choice for a listening group??

Bach

Difficult one to narrow down, I know.

PS Name any composer you want a group for, even if they have ben mentioned before.

Then we will count up the number of mentions for each one (one mention per composer per person*! ).

AND NO BALLOT STUFFING BY THE BRAHMS GANG!

Small print
The final decisions may take into account other factors than the number of 'votes', but obviously it is an important factor.

*I mean you can only propose each composer once, but you can nominate as many different composers as you like.

Oh I vote for Brahms - he's so misunderstood. "Stuffy serious German academic"?? Hardly

Flo I was thinking that maybe we ought to spread out the periods a bit so not all composers from the same period. That might make for a bit more variety and appeal too. Of course, the votes will be a great influence on that.
