Default No prosecution in 13-year-old father case

Quote:
Alfie Patten's girlfriend Chantelle Steadman, 15, gave birth to Maisie Roxanne at the Eastbourne District General Hospital, East Sussex.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said the force had looked at the case and decided it was "not in anyone's interests" for a prosecution to take place.

He does look absurdly young. He's only four feet tall (the father that is) and his voice hasn't broken. What were his parents thinking allowing the pictures to be printed? Money presumably. Is he definitely the father?

Oh well. The British press will now have two weeks of interviews with Bishops while the political right mutters that those who occupy subsidised housing should be neutered. The fact that Britain has the worst sex education and the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the developed world will hardly be mentioned.

Too right. We'll now have weeks and weeks of burblings about "broken Britain" from the the losing quarter-finalists in the regional heats of the Upper Class Twit of the Year competition, who have spent the last few years happily watching their chums gamble away the hard-earned pensions of decent people ...

As a "young adult" it somewhat sickens me that people my age (well quite a bit younger) can't seem to make the right decisions, not just with pregnancy, but drug usage and other disgusting habits.
