This [modification] resizes images in post that are bigger than the set dimensions in your AdminCP options. It also adds an information bar (which is not displayed when the image isn't resized) giving information about the original dimensions and filesize.

Sorry, FK that was me. It was cheeky to muck about with your image, but if you click the bar at the top it resizes to its former glory. It means people can still post big images but they don't spread across the page, shifting the right-hand margin, unless told to.

Don't apologise, Phil - I'm just curious to know if there's a way we can all resize images uploaded to Bright Cecilia.

I usually resize mine before uploading. However, I have started pasting the link to CD images on Amazon. This causes the image to display in whatever size it is on Amazon (usually pretty big).

It should be done for you now. If you use the attachment system and the [attach] tag (which is best because it means images won't disappear or the site be accused of 'bandwidth theft') they already re-size automatically.

But if you use a third party image and the [img] tag, the new mod should resize them, so the right hand margin isn't stretched, but the option is retained for people to click the bar at the top and view the full-size image.

For example, a third party url of a big image (2448 x 3264):

1. http://www.classicalmusicforum.net/images/woolies.jpg

2. The same url enclosed with the [img] tag:

This is really cool news.

I've often wondered about what the sizes of images should be. Now it will take care of it for me!!!
