Default Ruslan & Ludmila - complete opera on YouTube - Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow - free to view

For those who are enjoying a holiday weekend this weekend and have the time to enjoy, there is a complete performance of the new Bolshoi production of RUSLAN & LUDMILA on YouTube.

RUSLAN & LUDMILA

[complete in one single youtube clip, with no cuts, and not chopped into 10-minute lumps

Soloists, Chorus & Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre
Directed: Dmitry Tcherniakoff
Conducted: Vladimir Jurowski

I have more than a few reservations about Tcherniakoff's ponderous, static and slow-moving production - no matter how high-end the scenery and costume budget may have been.

However, you get my boss conducting the show - and no-one does it better

Hi Martin!

There was a link in my original message But I just clicked it, and found that the video has been removed from YouTube, even though it was uploaded by the Bolshoi Theatre itself

Blimey! I knew YouTube had really tightened up & had removed lots of stuff but when it's uploaded by the opera house itself??

My advice would be if you find something you like on YouTube download it to your hard drive & keep schtum.
